MIDAS has revealed that
Canadian-owned outsourcer Neptune Innovations has
chosen Towers Business Park in Didsbury, South
Manchester, as the site for its new UK flagship
office - having outgrown its existing sites in
Glasgow and Basingstoke.

Premier
Foods, the UK's largest food producer with brands
including Hovis, Branston and Mr Kipling has now
opened a brand new Shared Service Centre right in
the heart of Manchester.
The
centre will bring together Premier Foods’ key
finance and administration activities, including
reporting, general ledger, credit management,
accounts payable and payroll, under one roof for
the first time in a move designed to improve
business processes and performance.

As
the North West Shared Services Forum welcomes new
member Manchester Airport, total membership has
reached 50 SSCs from across the country.
Re-launched
back in November 2005, the Forum has gone from
strength to strength with membership spanning
global brands such as Rolls-Royce, Marks &
Spencer, Royal Bank of Scotland and AstraZeneca.
Public sector organisations including the
Department for Work & Pension and Medical
Research Council also have a strong presence;
alongside new UK centres such as Premier Foods,
BMI Healthcare and SpecSavers.

Kellogg's,
a key member of the North West Shared Services
Forum, celebrated a double award win at the SSON
2008 Awards. The leading global operator claimed
the Shared Services Employer and Organisation of
the Year Awards.
Following
its success at the awards ceremony, Kellogg’s was
able to share its wisdom at last year's Forum
annual conference attended by 200 SSC
practitioners.
